Adopt Me Please - Current Adoptable Dogs at KC PAWS - Kansas City Dog & Pet Photography

Why did you leave me? Why do you not want me anymore? I only gave you love, but it must not have been enough. Will I be ever be loved again? What does my future hold now? I forgive you.

These are just a few of the thoughts that might go through an abandoned dog's mind. According to the ASPCA, approximately 8-12 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide every year & approximately 5-9 million are euthanized. Startling, yes. Please spay & neuter! And do not bring a pet into your life unless you understand its a lifelong commitment. Five out of ten dogs in shelters and seven out of ten cats in shelters are destroyed simply because there is no one to adopt them.

I volunteer regularly by photographing the adoptable dogs at KC PAWS in Kansas City. Notice the difference between a quick photo using flash and the photo on the right which is using only natural light. A photo can make the difference for an animal waiting for their forever family in a rescue or shelter environment.

KC PAWS (The Protective Animal Welfare Society) was formed in 2007 with the determination of working with animals in need. They specialize in working with animals who are the victims of abuse. They work in connection with local City and State agency’s to help investigate and report cases of cruelty and neglect as well as providing education and resources to the community on how to properly care for their animals.

Even better -- All dogs adopted from KC PAWS come with 6 months of free day care at A Dog's Fun Playce (a $2,700 value). All dogs adopted will be current on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered prior to their release.
