Pets in Costume Benefiting Bonner Animal Rescue - Kansas City Dog Photography

I was honored to photograph pets in costume this weekend, benefiting Bonner Animal Rescue. The Bonner Animal Rescue’s mission is to provide temporary haven and treatment for adoptable cats and dogs, place them in suitable homes, increase awareness of the humane treatment of animals and promote spay/neuter programs to reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs in Bonner Springs, Kansas and surrounding areas. Bonner Springs has no dedicated city animal shelter for lost pets. The city only holds picked up animals for five days at a local veterinarian’s office. The National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy estimates that nationally 56% of dogs and 71% of cats that enter shelters are euthanized, mainly because of a lack of space. Their goal is to help adoptable pets avoid this fate.

Please enjoy the below pets who visited the Bonner Animal Rescue Halloween event and humored me long enough to have their photo taken! Thank you to everyone who gratiously donated to the cause in exchange for a fun photo of your pet!
